Larry Lantz Memorial Scholarship

Deadline to apply is October 1, 2024

The Larry Lantz Memorial Scholarship formed out of a fund that Santa Larry and Myke Hutchings put together aimed towards furthering the education of Holiday Performers.  The intent of this scholarship is to promote increased professionalism and educational opportunities for Holiday Performers.

The scholarship covers the cost of tuition of the event.  Travel expenses, room and board or any other incidentals are NOT covered.

Criteria for application:

1)  The performer in question must show a desire to further their skills and improve on their presentation and performance skills and showing signs of putting the work towards it.  Please provide a listing of what schools you have already attended and a listing of what kind of events you perform at.

2)  When they are in character, the performer in question must radiate that they are indeed that character – this is the X factor that some of those portraying carry with them OUTSIDE of the costume and season.  Please provide links to photos and/or videos of you in action as your holiday character.

3)  They must be willing and able to attend North Pole Cornerstones because they are offering something a little deeper than “this is how you Ho Ho Ho” and “these are the names of the reindeer.”  The North Pole Cornerstones experience isn’t for everyone as it’s aimed at instilling a better performer in the attendees and it is hard work.

4)  It is preferred that the recipient is Canadian, if there are suitable candidates, the scholarship will make the offer to a Canadian first, however citizens of other countries have received the scholarship.
